What face sizes are available for the Oxford 55 Oval Signet Ring?

The Oxford 55 Oval is available in a range of face sizes to suit different hand sizes and wearing preferences. Smaller sizes are ideal for more discreet wear, while larger face sizes provide additional space for detailed engraving and make a stronger visual statement. Rebus offers options suitable for both men and women.

How do I discover my finger size?

The easiest way is to use our enquiry form to request a free plastic finger size gauge, which will post out to you in our welcome pack. Measuring your finger is not an exact science, as the size of your fingers change during the day and is affected by temperature. Do not measure your fingers when you are cold or overly hot. Fingers swell with the heat and contract when they are cold. In our opinion, the best time of day to measure your fingers is in the middle of your day. For our international customers, please use our international ring size conversion chart to determine the standard British size that corresponds to your international ring size.

Is the Oxford 55 suitable for traditional seal engraving?

Absolutely. The Oxford 55 is particularly well suited to traditional deep seal engraving, where the design is hand engraved in reverse so it can create a wax impression. This centuries-old technique remains the gold standard for signet rings and allows the ring to function as both a piece of jewellery and a personal seal.

Every Oxford 55 signet ring is made to order and hand finished in Rebus's London workshop. The rings are produced using exclusive Rebus tooling and can be hand engraved by specialist craftsmen, ensuring exceptional quality, durability, and individuality.

If the finished solid metal signet ring needs a slight size adjustment either up or down, to a maximum of 3 sizes either way, we will do this free of charge. Alteration is at the discretion of the jeweller and depends on the size of the ring. Please return to us within 28 days of receipt.

For stone set signet rings, we will arrange a fitting date to try on the ring before the stone is set. The approved finger size not adjustable once the signet ring has been completed.

We recently invested in our own British-made die-stamping tools to produce signet rings, which means that every piece we create is entirely unique to Rebus. Beautiful, perfectly weighted jewellery, ready to be engraved with your crest, design or symbol.

We have lovingly re-created our core range of signet rings and pendants, perfecting them with subtle design modifications this consistent design thread runs through them all – inspired the Oxford 55 Oval.

Rebus is also an early adopter of 'Single Mine Origin Gold', which is currently available only in yellow gold. We believe that all this makes our gold signet rings the finest on the market today.
